Hey everybody! Hope all my fellow MGS fans are having a blast playing The Phantom Pain! Hopefully you can take a break just long enough to read this post. I know some of my posts are more fun updates than anything meaningful but this one is a bit different.
For the last 4 years or so I've been involved with an awesome charity event known as Extra Life. The basic idea behind for those who don't know is that gamers across the world can go solo or team up to raise money for children's hospitals. They gain donations through the website and once the event is done the proceeds go to benefit the hospital of their choosing.
The main idea behind this is that gamers attempt to play games for 24 hours straight. It seems like a daunting task for sure but it's an absolute blast. You can switch between as many games and consoles as you'd like. You can even mix in tabletop, board and card games as well! My friends and I normally get a good amount of food stacked up for the event and have a blast playing multiple different games together. The best part is that with all of the fun we're having playing games our efforts are helping kids in need.
Signing up is easy! You just need to go to the official website and click on join. From there it's pretty self-explanatory. People can also donate to any team or team member by searching for them on the website as well! I hope any of my readers of this blog or anyone in general who sees this will join up or donate if at all possible!
Here's a few links to the website and my team page and personal fundraising page. Thank you for any and all support!
